how do i mount a dry erase board without screws?
I have a dry erase board that is pretty heavy (magnetic) and I can’t put holes in my dorm room walls so I was wondering if there is anyway I could mount it without making holes? thanks!
I need to be able to take off the dry erase board in a year without leaving any marks. I don’t want to get charged by the university for destroying their dorm wall

3m makes a few picture-hanging type products that are guaranteed to have a strong holding strength yet simple pull-tab removal without marring the surface.
I’ve seen them at home improvements stores / lowes / home depot / ace hardware / true value as well as walmart, target & such.
I used a foam adhesive. It can be found in most craft stores. When I took down my board there was some damage to the paint, but that was it.
You can also try that removable 3M adhesive, but the board may be too heavy for it.
Liquid Nails
do NOT use liquid nails! it’ll pull large parts of the plaster off!!! i’d use double stick tape scotch makes it it’s the foamy type tape. you should be able to find it at hardware stores/craft shops and most major department stores (but it’ll be harder to find in places like that). if you leave any marks from that they’ll be minimum and colgate fills those with no problem. you could even use small diameter screws like a #6 x2" or so to do that the holes will be smaller when you go to fill them that way. the smaller the # the smaller the diameter (thickness) of the screw will be.
oh and good luck!
htttp://www.RockYourWall.com has adhesive squares and velcro strips made for hanging dry erase and cork items. They can easily be removed without causing damage to the wall.
